I saw a very wonderful pic posted by Ayato tonight, then noticed that it mentioned something about a "100 Pic Challenge." I thought nothing of it it at first, until I saw his journal entry and I was in awe. This is the PERFECT way to get me out of my art rut! >^_^< So, everything below here has been copied from his Journal. This should be QUITE fun!


The point of this challenge is to test and improve your skill as an artist. After 100 pics who wouldn’t be better. Please forgive me if this in any way excludes you from taking the challenge.

The rules

1.) Make 100 pics each pic having a theme listed below. Each pic should have ONE and only ONE theme to it, for it to count.

2.) No time limit so have fun

3.) The main picture should be drawn but not limited to. for all fair purposes, people are allowed to use their paint programs and photo shop to create the pic.

3a.) pics should be of own artistic ability. You may not edit photos, or break any other rules set out in the Da etiquette policy. Your pics can be anything from sketches and doodles to great master pieces. Just have fun with it.

4.) The list below is to be placed somewhere in your journal for others to see that......

My last journal entry here appears to have been made on Jun 18... 2005. So, it's been over a year since I've updated! Whoo! *grins*

Okay, here's what's been up: I finished my Junior year in high school and attempted to finish my Senior year using Texas Tech University correspondence courses. I didn't managed to finish in time for the school year, so I ended up having to come back to Waxahachie, TX until I finish my Senior year. At first, I was at the regular high school building, but so I could finish faster, I transferred to my district's Learning Center. Since I can do all of the work at my own pace, -I- decide when I finish. I am required to take Government, Economics, and English IV in order to meet graduation standards. I have only 10 questions left on my last lesson of Government, and that's after only TWO DAYS at the Learning Center. I'm only there for three and a half hours everyday, except on weekends, and I'm already almost done with an entire course! Whee! >^^<

I definitely miss my sweety coon in Austin, but I'll be back there as soon as I possibly can!

As the title says, I have info on commissions: THEY ARE STILL OPEN! (And probably will be for some time) I'm really in need of money, as I have a very hefty debt to pay off, so I need you guys to commission me whenever you can!

Well, I missed being on dA, but I'm back and ready to have fun and see cool art again!

><! After 11 months... I FINALLY fixed the scanner. oo; It had been hovering in bits and pieces on my computer, but after I finally deleted those pieces, as well as the drivers, I was able to re-download the drivers, install them, then found Scansoft: Paperport 9.0 and installed that... so now, my scanner is back, better, and faster than ever! >^^<

So now, I will try to bombard this place with my art once more... now that I've figured out a nice little direction thingy for my scanner, which I typed up myself!:

Improper way to unhook the scanner when done with it:
-Pull the USB cord out of the USB port and walk away.

PROPER way to unhook the scanner when done with it:
-Close all programs using the scanner
-Right-click scanner icon in system tray and select 'close'
-Pull USB cord out of the USB port and walk away

If this is not followed, the system will not recognize the scanner has been plugged in next time you plug it in/will not be happy that you unplugged it while you're still 'using' it.

I hear from my friend bored118 that there's supposed to be some DevMeet thing here in Texas sometime soonish, in July if I remember correctly (bored-san, if you could post a comment in this journal to tell me when and where it is, it'd be very much appreciated!), and I was wondering who all would be attending, so that I could decide whether or not I should attend myself. *smiles*
